Flavio Caron and Kristin Kozuback met in the spring of 1999 while Flavio was leading the award-winning Youth Entrepreneurship Program at the Greater Vancouver Venture Centre (GVVC).
At the time, Kristin was helping her friend Tina House – an emerging Métis media-maker & owner of House of Talent – to develop an Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneur Program. They requested a meeting to learn from the experts at GVVC...the relationships they formed remain strong today!
Flavio, a member of the Sagamok Anishinabek First Nation, began mentoring Kristin (Ukrainian & English ancestry) to teach & coach in GVVC's diversity-focused programs. When Flavio was asked to launch a BC Chapter of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) later that year, he invited Kristin (Ukrainian and English ancestry) to join him.
The rest, as they say, is history / herstory!

Too often, this wealth of knowledge has been ignored, discredited and oppressed in colonized states. We do not shy away from discussing reciprocity, repatriation and relevance to current events.

Reconciliation begins with acknowledging Truths, listening and learning to create and nurture mutually-beneficial relationships.
We draw from our collective experiences to share ways that individuals and organizations can build on the growing body of publications, recommendations and action plans of Indigenous-led organizations and working group, including:
- The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and '94 Calls to Action' published in their 2015 report.
- The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2007.
